He’s stiff in coverage for even a 3-4 OLB.
If Quinn wasn't a fit, due to coverage issues, then this may not be answer. Quinn was okay as a rusher, they couldn't use him in coverages...which is probably why he is gone. Hhmmm oh well

Smooth and comfortable in coverage, man or zone.
As a rusher (wildly underused in this role) he’s got plenty of bend, uses hands to keep clean, has exceptional burst to close. I’d take him in the 2nd and he’s being talked about like he’s a 4th/5th round guy.
I want him in the 3rd.
I've seen him between 3rd and 6th. I have no idea why but he's one that's all over the map.
What other 1st thru 3rd OLB are you high on right now?
1st round 3-4 OLB? Arden Key and Marcus Davenport...that’s it. Key is length monster, bit stiff and not particularly fluid but he’s surprisingly strong for his size, hands are heavy, and has great burst. Davenport is the guy with All-Pro potential. Raw as hell but bull in a china shop seems to be his floor. If his technique catches up to his rare power/strength/burst/bend...oh my. Similar in coverage, inconsistent but has obvious potential there.
2nd/3rd? Turay already mentioned and Josh Sweat could both actually go in the 1st and I’d understand the grade, just think you can get them later. Other guys I like
Harold Landry, Boston College
Olasunkanmi Adeniyi, Toledo (**) -
He dominated the Fresno St game I watched. Dorance Armstrong, Kansas -
I still think he is being under valued.Ogbonnia Okoronkwo, Oklahoma
- I am still on the fence with this guy.Kentavius Street, NC State (**) -
I like Street alot, just as a DE.Chad Thomas, Miami -
You like him as a 3-4 edge?
Ade Aruna was pretty impressive against Memphis. He is basically the same size as Davenport and ran just as fast, out broad jumped him, out high jumped him and they were 4 reps apart in the bench. The only concerning thing was his slow 3 cone. 7.5 was about the exact same as Da'Ron Paynes...
But he is raw like Davenport and just a fast, non stop athlete making plays. And he can be had for a day 3 pick instead of a first like Marcus Davenport.
I’m not down on Ada Aruna but I wouldn’t be comfortable at all spending a 1-3 pick on him. He’s long (and does a good jump taking advantage of it) but straight line. Compared to Davenport the huge difference for me is raw power. Davenport punches guys and they react like they are shot at times...jolted back, arms flail, huge step back. Aruna doesn’t have that and actually he often is the one getting bent backwards. Davenport is much more comfortable dropping his hips and working under and around olineman. He’s really tough move off his chosen line.
Olasunkanmi Adeniyi, Toledo - I think of Kirby Puckett when I watch him. Understands subtle nuances of the game. Looks chubby but is obviously an athlete when you watch him play and for some reason don’t care if he leans out. On to just Adeniyi, his snap awareness is probably the best I’ve seen this year.
Dorance Armstrong, Kansas - where are you projecting him vs where I have him?
Ogbonnia Okoronkwo, Oklahoma - He’s a bit different as a prospect. I think he’s pretty balanced overall. No real flaws, no real elite traits.
Kentavius Street, NC State (**)
Chad Thomas, Miami
I like Street and Thomas in either role. They are guys that actually fit the simple “edge player” role for me.
