Agreed. Tavon didn't steal. The Rams gambled on his potential. He had a very strong 2015. He scored 10 TDS and helped at WR/RB and PR. Fastest guy on the team and one of the fastest in the NFL. We traded up to draft him at 1-8 and wanted to keep him as the ultimate weapon. So what happened? A lot. Tavon had injuries including the one last off season that kept him out of most of our practice sessions under a whole new system. Although he didn't get a lot of catches nor carries, he was a terrific weapon of those fake jet sweeps where TG30 ran the other way. Because he was used inconsistently he lost confidence. It all fell apart when he kept dropping punts. I can understand the Rams moving on from him but I don't understand the venom directed his way. I agree his contract and his performances were out of sync, but he does have ability and is way fun to watch. If we could make the numbers work I'd love to have him back as a sweeping WR/back up RB. I don't know that he and Goff really ever got on the same page together, but without Watson, he could be our occasional deep threat too. Anyway, just sticking up for the guy. I still like him and would like to see him back.
