I'm betting they thought they could use the cap on Watkins...a one year deal, if necessary.
But, Joyner stepped up and caused a dilemma. Now, we didn't want to lose him.
I think the Rams would have tagged Watkins and paid him, similarly to Johnson, because it was for only one year. They could pay a premium for a one year deal.
But they weren't going three years.
BTW...all these deals aren't final until 4:00CST tomorrow correct?
