We can say that the previous regime's problems were related to Jeff Fisher not having clout to get the front office to sign the guys he wanted, but how do you explain Ogletree? That signing was under this group a mere 5 months ago.
IMO what we've seen is the Rams are better at overpaying MARGINAL types. But the elite players that are coming up like Donald, Gurley, and Goff? Remains to be seen whether Demoff can get those done.
So for me it's a concern. And I know that irritates some, but for myself the trend is there and one of the most crucial things the Rams need to do is demonstrate that they can prioritize and sign their own high end players. Jury is out on that right now plain and simple. Hopefully by the time this offseason is over we'll see that Kevin is up to snuff to manage contracts for a winning organization, got my fingers crossed.
