This is sort of what they did last year. Quinn, Barwin, Longacre and Ebukam all got significant snaps. And maybe that will be their approach again but with players they feel are better fits in the 3-4.
Lonagacre averaged 27 snaps/game in 14 games. He may not be a 'pure starter' but he could probably increase that to maybe 35/game. Same with Ebukam. He averaged 11 snaps/game before their Bye week and 29/game after. Barwin actually led the OLB group with 47 snaps/game. Maybe you bring him back as a lesser role player.
when you play average players you get average results. The only possible upside is Ebukan. Maybe he can be good. Sure, they can play the snaps. But can they be productive, make great plays?
Barwin is what he is. He's not going to be great. Longacre is the same.
