I don't think Longacre is great, but he did produce as a pass rusher on par with Quinn (5.5 sacks in 379 snaps vs. 8.5 sacks in 631 snaps) and personally I thought he was better vs. the run. Good role player with a great motor.
wacth the film of Longacre's sacks. Often a guy was chased into his arms.
That's what I saw regarding Longacre too. but did you observe Quinn creating on his 8.5 sacks?
I feel he got his fair share of guys chased into his arms too.
Afterall that's Brockers specialty! lol
In all seriousness toward the end of the season I started to see the old bend the edge comeback for Quinn and he really showed that burst.
I also saw it with him down the los on stuffs.
But early on as I'm sure you noticed, he was getting there and being pushed past the qb and losing his footing for some reason.
Maybe his health, whatever I dunno but later he started flashing things that only he could do. .
In the last few games.
It was clearly visible and the numbers back it. Not just more sacks, more pressures, and better performance against the run.
In fact they gave him around 20% more snaps.
I think the first 10 games, it WAS health or recovery, not being 100%, that held him back.
