C'mon LA.
You're essentially saying that only your personal line of thinking on this represents good rationale thought, and anyone who disagrees is acting on emotion or desperation?
I respect your line of thought on this issue and acknowledge you could turn out to be correct.
Respect other's lines of thought and don't demean them/us. They are just as based on logic and rationale and whatever information is available as yours.
The "logic" that all the other teams passed isn't a test for anything. That is proved time and again. There are circumstances that get very clubby going on behind the scenes.
Think it was an accident that San Fran got Garapallo for a 2nd round pick? That all the other clubs said no? Heck no. That was arranged between 2 teams who trusted one another. Everyone was scratching their heads about how this went down. Easy. Trust and prior relationships.
It has already been stated publically that the GM of the Chiefs and Snead have known each other a long time and have a relationship. Inquiries could be made with discretion. The MP thing was touchy. The negotiations had to be very quiet. And, in the end, because of league rules, either team can back out until March 14 because technically no formal deal can been consummated until them. Yet each team has to be able to trust the other one in order to move on before March 14, or not to simply use the handshake deal to try and make a better deal.
It's pretty clear that la is in a very small minority when it comes to this deal.
Let's see, a 25 year old All Pro CB with an NFL record 19 INT's in first three seasons still with two years left on a cheap rookie deal for a 4th round pick and a future 2nd???
It's pretty clear why just about every media guy , Chiefs fan and Rams fan are calling this a steal( to put it nicely )
I could really care less if every other team said no thanks ( which I highly doubt happened) as long as my team said YES
