undersized...overmatched in this league. We took a talent from a non power conference school and decided to "develop" him.
Why in the heck we constantly focus on developmental guys at the top of the draft is beyond my comprehension.
He showed nothing...at least to me. And honestly, I have a pretty good track record on calling these things.
But...for fun...let's say by year 4 he develops. Well...then he becomes a free agent. So we get to live with his non factor years and someone else gets productive years.
I just didn't see anything from him to lead me to believe he has a bright future. Honestly...not one play. Usually when a player has "a future", he makes at least a handful of outstanding plays. He caught passes when he was wide open. There was no Cooper Kupp, Robert Woods, Sammy Watkins plays in there. Even Higbee made a play or two at the 5-10 yard distance that could be deemed exceptional or clutch catches. But a few 5-10 yard catches doesn't cut it either.
Think of the plays that you noticed with the other Rams rookies. Is there really a play you can point to with Everett that you can say "Wow!" ?
It's ok. We've made bigger drafting mistakes.
