GRob gets called for a hold - nothing happens. Cook drops a pass, but he still plays. Eugene Sims gets a Personal foul, but still plays. Under Fisher there were no one being held to the "standard" of what was acceptable play and what was not. It was only at the end that Fisher cow-towed to having lost too many games. During the previous 4 years it was excuse after excuse.
To a point, McVay would NEVER have used the move as an excuse - he'd take the blame of not putting his players in better position to win and his team would follow.
