Well, smart combined with playing football at the collegiate level and taking a job as an assistant at Amherst College for $6,000 per year and turning down a six figure job in Engineering....Again I'm not sure how this will turnout either, but I like Patricia's makeup and like McVay the scuttlebutt is he can command a room and IMO already has a good offensive coordinator in Jim Bob Cooter so that half the battle.
Agreed on every Head Coach hire, it's a wait and see approach, but IMO I believe the Lions are in better hands, but I am biased because Patrica is from Upsate, NY and went to College about a half hour from me so I am rooting for his success, just not against the Rams, plus Detroit like Philadelphia before this season, has never won a Super Bowl or been to one for that matter.
