is how well the high end talents like Key and Landry interview with the Rams, as well as what they dig up in the background stuff. 23 is a good range for the guys who are high end but fall out of the elite range, assuming the team has a good feel for them.
Key is most critical I think, since he's got a lot of red flags not to mention some rough tape in 2017. Landry seemed like he didn't play up to his ability last year, so he's also going to need to interview well.
Re: Carter: I think he's on par with a lot of the others listed above him by the media types, but he also brings some really sick length and strength to the equation. IMO he'll be one of the players from this class who will be better pros than college edge rushers. Also I've read nothing but good things about his character from a fan who has crossed paths with him and knows some folks that know him. I believe he's going to go much earlier than the media types are listing him.
