I am saying the strong demand to force the run is a bad idea

The bottom line, because McVay opened up the running game by passing more, he gets more yards per carry. He created space. He creates defense guessing and on their heals.

And it probably is even more than it appears because some of the runs per carry average comes down because the team is leading and burning 4th quarter clock. (Although I don't even agree with totally on that if you are not getting first downs still)

We went 10 years doing it the other way and had bottom of the league offenses. With Fisher these last 2 years, we were historically bad on offense by using the approach many seem to want with a power run first mentality.

When there is so much success, you leave it alone. That offense was a top 5 offense most of the year because of the approach. I don't want to go back to what we had previously. Simply put.

For me the issue is to be able to run and pass effectively
