znYou rarely if ever see the evidence for anything outside your own domain.
Therefore it's not a criteria for the rest of us.
Basically what you're saying is, I have no idea what I think I am looking for, but, prove to me it doesn't exist.
Which would entail making public something illegal which shows the offensive and defensive signals of various teams, which is not supposed to be public.
McDaniels had a tape too, it showed a SF walk through before the Denver/SF London game.
Prove to me that;s all it was.
Can't? Good. I don;t care.
When you destroy evidence that does not mean that what happened did not happen.
And just because we were never privy to the evidence that doesn't mean we can ignore it and draw an accurate conclusion. On the contrary, it means you are drawing any one of a number of conclusions that will just as likely be wrong.
In other words, we are all guessing. And no one persons guess is any better than another's. I am not presumptuous enough to believe I know everything that happened here without looking at the evidence.
No it's more like people often leap to that kind of conclusion for no good reason.
For one thing those tapes outside the NFL offices are not "evidence," they're just tapes.
Inside the league office they are evidence of a league's internal rule violations, the rule in question being the one that prohibits teams from taping offensive and defensive signals. (Though interestingly, stealing signals is itself not against the rules. Just doing it via videotaping).
Now once you've proven that, you're done.
Besides the fact that no one ever suggests some realistic scenario where something else could be on those tapes (the coaches smoking pot?) there's this
the tapes themselves are illegal, meaning their very existence is illegal according to league rules
they contain confidential info (signals) that is not supposed to be public
So you want them to preserve illegal tapes, the very existence of which is illegal, in order to publicly disseminate confidential info.
Right.
All in search of....no one can even name anything plausible.
Sorry, it's just clearly a conspiracy theoryl
Anyway make all your PMs from this board public to prove you said nothing that broke the law. When you do that I will listen to your conspiracy theories about why illegal tapes of confidential info should be public.
This, you know, is just going to keep going in the same circle.
So you can repeat yourself if you want but I am done doing it.
I don't buy the "evidence was destroyed" conspiracy theories because they make no sense. You do. It's an impasse. Time to agree to disagree.
