Basically what you're saying is, I have no idea what I think I am looking for, but, prove to me it doesn't exist.

When you destroy evidence that does not mean that what happened did not happen.
And just because we were never privy to the evidence that doesn't mean we can ignore it and draw an accurate conclusion. On the contrary, it means you are drawing any one of a number of conclusions that will just as likely be wrong.
In other words, we are all guessing. And no one persons guess is any better than another's. I am not presumptuous enough to believe I know everything that happened here without looking at the evidence.
