Yep. That's a pretty smart organization to get one of the best coaches of all time and one of the best qbs of all time together. And they know what their doing ! I think the cheating thing is born from jealousy much like I use to try and find fault with the Yankees during all those World Series wins. What's significant to me is that the Patriots may not win every SB but they will always be in the top tier of the playoffs. That consistency is what makes them great. And winning builds on itself hence the flow of good free agents to them. Take away all the speculation on "cheating" and they still would be up there near or at the top every year.
Sorry waterfield but I respectfully disagree. The "speculation" was burned and destroyed and you cannot deny that. lol Can you give me one good reason they would burn the evidence? Just one will be fine...
The league took all the tapes from NE and they were all collectively evidence for one thing only--taping signals. With this issue, there's no such thing as multiple charges for multiple violations--you either taped signals or you didn't. If you did, once is enough and 50 makes no difference. It's still just one investigation of one charge. Once the charge was proven there was no need for the tapes. So the league did not burn any "evidence" since in fact the violation was proven and there is no compounding of charges. They were not accused of anything else and the tapes themselves could not prove anything else anyway, so their existence is not necessary. BTW stealing signals is not against NFL rules, if only because it's unenforceable. Just videotaping them is. And again to prove a violation, you just need one tape. 100 more make no difference, it's all just one violation.
