Ogletree is the D captain. He is the one to whom the defensive formation is communicated and then he makes the call on the field to the other players. He is the one that also reads O adjustments and calls out corresponding D adjustments.
The question is: can that be done from the OLB position?
The other problem for me with moving Ogletree to an outside LB position is that it doesn't take advantage of his ability to defend sideline to sideline. It essentially cuts his range down to 1/2 the field.
It also has him going up against OTs when he's rushing.
I just don't know if, in a 3-4 scheme, OLB is his position.
