The run was a constant problem for the Rams' D this year and as Atlanta showed us, it will really show up in the playoffs.
So as I contemplate (and waffle!) about the Rams' off season priorities, more and more I think that most attention needs to be paid to the Defense: the run D in particular.
From my armchair, I think it starts in the middle, and that means at NT. After that, I sort of feel like perhaps Quinn was a liability at OLB in the run game. I'm just not sure about Barron and Ogletree. Ogletree is a good sized guy, but is not a great tackler or a thumper. Barron gets overwhelmed by OGs and Centers. So perhaps we're going to have to trade out Barron for a different kind of ILB that is better at run stuffing. Or maybe a very good NT will solve much of the problem.
Any thoughts on this?
Agreed Rock Should be a major priority. I posted the same thing earlier. When a team can rung on you, they can control the clock and keep our O off the field.
Stop the Run!!
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
