Just watching McVay on the sideline during the Niners game told me all I needed to know.

I don’t believe he was happy with his decision to tank the game. He had regret written all over his face.

Let’s be reasonable here. You’re not winning the SB with a 31 year old rookie HC and a team coming off a 4-12 record with a 23 year old QB considered a bust.

Could they have won another game? Sure. But the inexperience across the board made a SB run impractical.

McVay is very smart and a quick study. I’d be shocked if he doesn’t get better at these types of decisions.
