Every team in the league plays 4 teams that finished first in their division, 4 teams that finished second in their division, 4 teams that finished third in their division, and 4 teams that finished fourth in their division.
The Rams' "crossover" games are both against first place teams (Philly, NO) ... but that is just to balance out the fact that the other NFC West teams have to play the Rams twice.
The crossover games are against first place teams because the Rams finished in first, right? Had the Rams finished 2nd, they'd face other second place teams in the crossover games and so on. At least, I thought that's how it worked. Did something change or am I just wrong?
