Goff waited too long on many of his passes last night. His indecision made it easy for the DBs to defend many of his throws. The WRs appeared open, but the balls got there too late.
How do we know the timing on plays? Do we know how far he got in his progressions before he saw a shot against a good defense. I didn't see WRs who appeared open but the balls were late, I saw tough coverage.
There's often 2 opposing tendencies after losses. 1. Blame the qb. 2. Exonerate the qb no matter what.
Goff had a bad first quarter and as I saw it bounced back, making some throw (like the sideline pass to Woods) that we have never seem any Rams qb make.
He gets a mixed review from me, but it was also against a tough defense. I agree with you that he will grow with experience.

In their last 6 games Atlanta’s defense has given up only 16.3 PPG, against Rams, Panthers, Vikings, Saints twice and Tampa Bay. 5 of those games vs playoff teams
