I think that's the biggest factor in this discussion. Much more than Watkins' ability or desire. He was 4th on the team in targets and had no training camp. If they re-sign him, all of that will change next year. The guy has elite level talent and will put up much bigger numbers if he remains healthy.
Of course, that may be a big part of why they used him the way they did. He's struggled to stay healthy and they wanted him all year. It'll be interesting to see what happens. I hate signing guys coming off of contract years but I also hate the idea of him going to SF, who will be in the market to get JG some weapons.
