Oak. has needed a good coach for years. They've had talent and a ton of salary cap money to spend.

The Rams these last two years have shown the importance of coaching. The difference between bad coaching and good coaching is astounding.

Maybe Oak. is a little bit desperate but Gruden has proven to be a very good coach. If he creates a Rams like turnaround in Oak., I'm sure they'll feel it's worth it.
