I don't necessarily disagree with your assessment. But I wonder if the Rams 2nd stringers, 3rd stringers, and practice squad guys who got significant playing time are really any worse than any other team in the NFL.

IOW if the Eagles had done what the Rams did - put 7 key starters on the inactive list (Whitworth, Sullivan, Gurley, Donald, Ogletree, Barron, Joyner), keep other key players glued to the bench (Goff, Kupp, Woods, Watkins, Saffold, Havenstein), minimize the use of other key starters (Quinn, Barwin, Westbrooks, Brockers, TruJo) start players who had never even been on the active roster before (Lucas, Sickles) and who had just been signed as street FAs (Neary) - would you expect them to look any better? The Eagles got shut out as it was and I don't think they sat 17 starters.
