Does anyone really think the Rams took this game very seriously?
You know darn well that priority one was to rest starters and priority two was to come out healthy. The final score simply didn't matter......in the same way it is in preseason.
There is not a chance that the Rams somehow feel concerned, or down, about that game. Remember: McVay went around and talked to the players about it before he made his decision. They fully understood the approach of creating a mini-bye because the real concern was the playoffs.....not beating the Niners.
It's the teams that NEEDED that last game that lost that are down.
Seahawks.
Panthers.
Saints.
Ravens.
To name a few.
To give it all you got with your starting roster and lose? That's a problem. Not resting most of your starters indicating the game outcome doesn't matter much.
