The Rams will beat the Falcons convincingly.
And I think that would be the case had the starters played and the beat the 49ers yesterday too.
It just so happened to all go right for McVay yesterday, sans the lousy showing of the Rams B unit. But in the process he managed to not lose a spot and got the worst of the NFC playoff crop this year in the Falcons. And it's not the absence of Shanny that's the problem for the Falcons so much as it is the presence of Sark. He's terrible and pretty much everything he touches turns to crap. Basically the opposite of McVay at the moment.
Stark stinks, and I agree that the Falcons are the best first round for the Rams. That Falcons D doesn't impress me at all. And their STs are terrible as well.
They were so lucky to beat the Seahawks on that last minute missed FG. And they didn't get anything close to Carolina's best game yesterday. It was pretty clear to anyone who was watching that the Panthers turned it off in the 2nd half yesterday. Carolina punting down two scores with six minutes left is a pretty big white flag.
The point spread on this game opened at Rams favored by 4.5 points, and now its already at 6.5.
