The reality is, Fisher was never a good hire.
Not saying he was a great HC. Not even close. Just saying his "hands were tied" due to the move. Once the move was completed, his offensive failure did him in. His D was not bad. That is a FACT. He drafted some decent D players. That is a FACT.
And yes, IMO, he was good hire if you consider he was only hired to "move the team" and not field a winner. He accomplished the move and knew how to handle a team in transition.
I'm curious about something. The Front Office includes administrative positions filled with people who handle player transportation (local and cross country), lodging, player development, facility management, and lots of other day-to-day operations issues. So, what exactly did Fisher do to "move the team" when the bulk of the tasks to accomplish the move fell on so many others? He didnt single handedly move the team. Not trying to be smart, just trying to understand the significance of his previous move experience.
