He won ugly and lost even uglier. I really think the way we lost the last few games is what did it. And then the Atlanta debacle was the final straw.
Thank goodness.
His philosophy on football is outdated, antiquated, and boring.
We are back attacking teams on both sides of the ball, and playing to outscore each opponent early and often.
It's the old Bill Walsh philosophy....win the game in the first half and then run the clock out in the 2nd half if need be.
IMO, His philosophy on
Offensive football is outdated, antiquated, and boring. His D philosphy was fine. He does know how to pick D talent too. A lot like Buddy Ryan (his mentor) cared only about D. Couldn't care less about the O. His D would win the games for him. I think if he would have had a real OC he might have lasted but again, he really only had 1 year to try and win. The move was a bigger priority the first few years.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
