That is what falls apart in this theory that somehow Gurley is to blame versus Fisher.
In his last 9 games, he only went over a 100 yards 1 time and averaged 3.9 yards per carry. The only difference in that last 9 games and 2016 is that he had 1 big 140 yard game vs no big games.
What happened was Fisher made no adjustments and created no space for Gurley to run. The predictability of the offense took a toll on Gurley and he started looking at the 10 guys about to hammer him versus looking for holes. He prepared himself to being tackled versus preparing himself to make a cut.
Fisher is to blame.
