Most of these guys have an agenda, and they all seem to have a bias. Doesn’t everyone?
Andy Benoit, who is a notorious Goff basher, looks at the same play that McVay and others raved about, the TD to Reynolds, and Benoit tosses it off as Goff had all day to throw and makes a easy toss.
For every Waldman or Riddick, there’s a Benoit or Simms.
I honestly don't think it reduces to that kind of "basher or not" thing. Benoit is often very complimentary of Goff actually. No one knows Simms;s motives and I personally don't care what he said, it don't ruffle my feathers none. (Not talking anyone into anything, just voting in an informal poll.) I actually think VB lowered himself to Bernie territory as a writer by going after Simms. I read that wincing. It wasnt a mature writer being thoughtful. It felt more like grade school girls getting catty. It wasn't professional, I thought. That's just my take. If no one agrees that's okay too.
