Winning the Division is the immediate goal. This is what guarantees getting into the playoffs in the first place.
To just assume at this point that one way or another the Rams are in the playoffs (which is what I think you're doing) is the classic "putting the cart before the horse".
The league simply has too much parity to assume winning out. Or not losing to a team that on paper you shouldn't. On paper the Jags had no business losing to the Cards.
After winning the division then seeding is of course important. But first things first. And the BEST thing that can happen to assure the Rams win the division is for our chief division opponent (that is realistically the only team other than the Rams that is going to win the NFC West) is to lose to the Eagles and the Rams to beat the Cards today giving the Rams a 2 game lead with 4 to play. It also gives us a valuable cushion when we play Seattle (who holds the tie-breaker) so that it is not a must-win for the Rams. But it becomes that for Seattle.
A Hawks team with their backs against the wall is very dangerous especially in Seattle. Anybody that thinks the Hawks aren't going down without a fight hasn't been paying attention for the last 3 or 4 years. They deserve a lot of respect.
