NewMexicoRam - you've got it right, as I see it.
If the Rams should happen to lose Sunday, then they can forget catching the Eagles, and it would be better for the Seahawks to lose.
I hope that won't be the situation.
Maybe we've been down so long that people are just happy with the idea of winning the division/making the playoffs.
But I can distinctly remember from the Rams' past that once your team is good and you expect to make the playoffs, that home field advantage became the goal!
Why? Because it's huge in a playoff game, and while it can be overcome, it very often is not.
If the Rams end up winning the division on their own, without needing the Eagles' help (I think they will), but narrowly lose an NFC championship in a cold stadium in Philly in Jan, it will become much more obvious then why it would be better for the Rams if the Seahawks win this game now.
Of course, who we fans are pulling for has absolutely ZIP to do with the outcome, so everybody pull for whoever you want!
