Minor point. It's where not who, spagsbacker. Home is where we want to play in the playoffs.
We're 2 games behind the Eagles right now for the #1 seed.
That means A. It's doable and B. We need them to lose one other game. If so, we can catch them.
Does everybody understand that, or are you thinking that we're only one game behind them and all we have to do is beat them ourselves?
Or are you thinking that we just really aren't that good, can't beat them anyway, and you're happy to just win the division this year?
As far as winning the division goes, yes, that's an intermediate goal, but not an end in itself. At least, not for me.
Wishing for an outcome that helps us win the division more easily, but makes winning the NFC championship harder is tactical, but not strategic.
If we can't win this division without the Eagles help, then it probably doesn't matter where we play them. I think we can.
IF, if I say, we end up playing the Eagles in the playoffs, where we play that game will not be a trivial matter.
Lots of history, and guys who make their living in Vegas doing this say home field is worth 3.
That means the difference between playing at our place and playing at their place is a 6 point swing.
Who wouldn't like to have that when a trip to the Superbowl is on the line?
