I'm not in disagreement that Watkins wouldn't hope for similar numbers.
Pragmatically, Jeffrey has 43 Receptions, 619 yards and 7 TD.
But Watkins has only 28 Receptions, 490 yards, and 5 TD.
So for Sammy to get the same as Jeffrey would be the high end and I don't expect that.
But what I love is this: look at the deal we got Woods. 47 receptions 703 yards (with one fewer games) and 4 TDs. And his contract was 5 years, $34 mil, $15 mil guaranteed.
So unless Sammy starts to kill it the rest of the year, I think the Rams will NOT give Sammy anywhere near Jeffrey money. It would have to be something along the lines of 5 years $40 mil, $18 mil guaranteed. Now if Sammy goes off and starts taking over games, that's different.
I just don't see Sammy getting top end dollars from the Rams....and possibly not from anybody.
