Watkins open week after week on these videos and photos posted and he doesn't even get a look, it makes you scratch your head and wonder what in the world is going on. I just watched the above video and saw more of the same.
I don't buy in on all the still photos, video reviews and the message board opinions of Watkins being wide open and being ignored in the game planning. There are things going on in practice and during live games that fans are clueless about.
There are other intangibles that nobody on a message board are privy to. Hindsight bias is often very ridiculous on message boards.
If you think McVay, LaFleur and Goff are all missing the big picture on Watkins and you can simply sit at home in your chair and view still photos and all 22 film reviews to make a black and white case that they're all miserably failing to utilize him, so be it that is your entitled opinion.
I want you or anyone else on this board to draw me up a game plan with film review and still photos for the Saints, Cardinals and Eagles games prior to these games starting.
Let me read and review your break down of how you plan to attack and use the players in the offense and what your plan B and C is when the plan fails and things shift and tilt based on how the defense is playing that day during a live game.
I will then respect your opinion and anyone else that thinks they know what they're talking about. Again, prior to the game and not after the fact.
I'm not saying people that don't coach for an NFL team can't see the flaws in a game plan but there are so many other factors that go on when preparing for a game plan and other unknown good reasons of why players are not utilized the way fans harp on after the game is over.
Armchair fans are not working in the NFL for a reason.
