Seems like you quoted part of my post, thereby changing its emphasis, then said "I agree" (or was I not supposed to notice that?)
The NFL rulebook defines holding in terms of acts that "materially restrict" the opponent's movement. That's where degree and a bit of subjectivity comes into the picture.
In the end, as you noted, the Rams may have "gotten away" with a grab that could have been called holding on the Woods' TD, and were subjected to a questionable call that took away Ogletree's TD. So, if you feel the need to play the shoulda/coulda game, its a wash.
Given that it was a 26 point win, I really don't see this an important issue.
