I hate to be this way and when I say people I mean football people, not the average fan like the people on this board, but he:
1) Played in a run only offense with a limited playbook in college
2) He was a young player
3) There had to be some kind of interviewing process where somebody could pick up that he had a hard time absorbing information
4) There had to be video on his fundamental flaws.
To put it simply: He was a development project that mandated a huge investment and lastly, at the #2 pick you need playmakers, somebody that touches the ball or rushes the QB.
I am not critical by the average fan like myself that may have thought he was a good pick although I personally hated the pick, but the football people in the NFL, those people are dumb because they should have easily known all of that..
and in a league that NFL stands for Not for Long, this pick should not have been made in the top half of a first round. If it had been a 2nd round pick, not as big of deal, but the Rams could have gotten an entire draft for that pick or at least a couple of #1's and some change. Hence, in the earlier thread, what was the worst pick in RAMs history, I believe this one wins in a landslide, because the value of the pick was so high and it basically held the team hostage for 3 years.
If either happens, Robinson stays or Fisher stays, Goff never becomes a QB that can play in the NFL. Thankfully, those 2 corrections were made.
