Nice breakdown by Myles.
Question: With amazing blocking like that, don’t you think that Gurley could have scored there, as well?
I do.
Reason I ask? Because Tavon netted zero yards on his other 5 (count ‘em, 5) rushes. ZERO. I’m gonna go waaaaay out on a limb and say that Gurley coulda done better than that.
And Tavon’s 14 yards on 3 receptions? Think another WR might have been able to exceed those numbers? The answer should be obvious.
No need to discuss Tavon’s PR prowess, is there? I think McVay’s solved THAT problem.
Bottom line? I think that we’re kidding ourselves when we try to convince ourselves that Tavon is a powerful O weapon that cannot be done without. The evidence suggests otherwise. Sigh...
Gotta disagree with you on this on.... watch it again.
He burst through the hole with no hesitation then the high step freezes Chanclor for just a split second and then just blows right by him...
That was a great run.... Gurley might have scored but not like that.
You gotta get over your grind on this kid.
Yep, looks like that “high step” froze Chancellor for a split second.
But are you seriously telling me that Gurley couldn’t have scored there, too? Given that blocking and all?
And what about Tavon’s other 5 rushes for zero yards? Gurley couldn’t have done better? C’mon...
Cherry picking Tavon plays leads to erroneous conclusions. Just sayin’.
Gurley had 14 carries for 43 yards which is 3.1 ypc. So in this particular game could he have done better?
Apparently not. He had his chances and didn't.
Exactly....don’t know why this is about what Gurley could or couldn’t do, fact is Tavon DID IT.
Only Ram to score the whole day... don’t know why that’s so hard to swallow???
Love Gurley, but I don’t think he’s ever hit a hole that quick his whole career.....
