some bad stuff doesn't rinse so well
that drop by Everett in the endzone is a lot more disturbing to me than the hot sauce toss, the full layout attempt by Goff/Kupp.
in close games, the Everett play is the "must have" balls
as Jackie Slater's voice still nails. "affordable plays" and yes I am a broken record
But affordable plays are the difference between winning and losing close games
We lost the battle of the halves, btw, too
the Seahawks used the clock and scored their TD on long exhaustive drive
The Rams couldn't capitalize on either of the late half possessions this week.
As for Austin.
Yeah, I thought the guards did such a nice job on blocking and then getting out front on the Austin TD
And, I, too think that anyone carrying the ball there would have had success; at least 1st and goal.
Credit due to Tavon
His burst to get up to Everett, who also did a nice job of sustaining a block, was faster than most everyone on the roster.
So, I think the play is borderline. Gurley or Brown might lower their pad and do it the old fashion way. More likely sets up first and goal inside the 5.
Austin other touches? Infuriated me at points. Hard to have a lack of "plus yards" in a close game.
I think they ought to activate Justin Davis. Or give more of a campaign to Malcolm.......
