watch replays of plays and you see Watkins open many times.
Given that, and I am the biggest Watkins fan based on his highlights and his early success averaging 1000 yards before his injury, he seems to not be right in the head right now. I believe they mismanaged his ego so much that he is pouting. By not getting him involved early in games, they shut him down.
That is poor coaching. Throw him some quick slants and let him be physical like the Monday night game. Use him in the short game. Than after he gets a flow, go deep. Having him run route after route after route as a decoy and than hand picking a deep ball is not the best use of a competitive guy like Watkins.
I think if the Rams wanted to Watkins to go for 200 yards in any game. If they fed him the ball.
Still, no excuse for him not finishing the route yesterday. He may have had a chance to make a game changing play that would have won the game, but we will never know. That is on Watkins.
