Watkins averaged 1000 yards in his first 2 seasons in the NFL.
Greg Robinson in a recent publication in year 4 was ranked #71 out of 72 tackles. Great Robinson was just a horrific draft pick. While I know the left tackle many years ago taken #2 in the draft was probably worst, I think the circumstances of where the team was and the opportunities of what else could have been done with the pick, makes it the worst pick in Rams history.
On Watkins right now,
There is concern on Watkins after 1 good game, he has completely bottomed out and appears to be a nothing. Is he physically done because of injury? Is he not very bright? Does he have too much attitude and is pouting?
But right now he is a waste of a roster spot. When the game plan is focused on Higby over Gurley and Watkins, though there has to be concern.
Higby made some good plays, I give him that though, but this game reminded me of a Fisher game. We might as well had Benny Cunningham in the game too.
