I've been researching a lot of stuff on Smart.
What you say fits well with what I've found.
Smart has earned the NT spot. From what I've read. He's high energy and high character and won't be out of position.
Check out his Senior Bowl clips. He's a sharp cookie. His dropped to the 6th round cause he's short and not a great athlete. But everything I read on him is about him is about production at a position that doesn't get drafted high.
And I think its very possible that Brockers is better suited for the DE roll in a 3-4. And that can make a huge difference to Wade's D.
As you said, the big question mark is the LBs. They don't seem like a good fit. VinnyB was saying they got what they got for this year, but next year there will be changes. Probably massive changes if you ask me.
