Fisher seems like a good guy. A good man.
But ... the modern NFL game had clearly passed him by. That was my fear when they drafted Goff. Loved the pick ... but said it here that I had great reservations about what exactly he was going to learn and how he was going to progress under Fisher and Boras and Weinke.
There's just no arguing that anymore. The only thing he truly learned last year was probably the speed of the pro game. Beyond that ... he learned what it was like being a target at a s**t fight.
No matter *who* Fisher hired as OC ... it was Fisher's overall philosophy about offensive football that was going to overrule that person in the end.
The Rams were made and managed in Fisher's image.
They are now being rebuilt in McVay's.
