I would be shocked if McVay let Tavon's contract influence his playing time. The money has been spent regardless. It's McVay's job to put the players on the field that give the team the best chance to win. IMO the extent that Tavon sees the field and the manner in which he's used reflect only McVay's opinion on how much Tavon can contribute to the team's chances of winning.
And will you still be saying that after his playing time increases (again)?
He missed all of camp. Shrug.
