I agree, the stats are fun.....but you have to achieve them in 'big' games---like when Warner trounced on the Dolphins in 2001, or beat down teh Saints on MNF in 2001....
Goff 'started' something against a good Redskins defense, continued it against a young, and not so football intelligent 49er defense. THe Dallas D is a playoff D, even if it is no better than the Redskins....Dallas has a great O that can dominate a game, and we need Goff to 'erase' that by putting up points, and no turnovers.
IF Goff puts up 23-27 and doesn't turn the ball over, that is huge; if he doesn't we know the stats are just for show.
He has 13 games left, not including the playoff. My guess is that 9-10 of them we will be happy with him. He is really just 22 years old. SOrry, but Brad was NOT good in 2001....watch the Superbowl: he made some excellent throws, but he had 90 yards passing
going in to the 2 minute drill. He had great coaching, the same system and good players around him, yet had just 90 yards passing.
Goff is MUCH BETTER in his 2nd year than Brady ever was...The future is now, but we haven't fulfilled the greatness of it, yet. (did I steal that quote?)
