He's really like a rookie QB. We have no idea what his trends are right now, but we can see where they're going.
McVay and this offense have given him confidence. When he has that, he's very good. When things break down and he has to improvise, he's still a work in progress (but I like what that's starting to turn into).
Really felt that he took the INT hard at the end of the Skins game. You could literally see how much he worked on and improved on his reads and progressions from the week before to the 9ers game. It's what impressed me the most and gives me the greatest upside feeling about him. He's easily coached.
What we're seeing from him now is confidence and progression. This offense is going to get figured out some, and so will Goff before this season is through. How he handles that will be the biggest test of all. Might even come at a pretty high level game...
One thing for sure, this season is shaping up to be a pretty fun one...
