And I'm not sure that comparison is very helpful in and of itself.

Chris Collinsworth referred to him as "Gumby" on one replay of a successful throw.
He has this very flexible overhand slinging motion, kind of rubber-armed (in a good way) that puts the ball right through a half open window.
I like it, because it's his own thing, and not anyone else's.
I was using Montana as a reference point for QB "calmness" under pressure, Sag.
I almost inserted the disclaimer that stated that I wasn't literally comparing Goff to the HOFer. But I didn't because I knew what a sophisticated audience we enjoy on this board. (Wink).
BTW, I stand by my assertion that Montana did not have the arm for that 47 yarder.
