the on-the-field performance on Saturday will prove whether or not to get excited about the Rams offense this season.
Outside of no injuries, the most important thing to me right now is that Goff doesn't play poorly tomorrow. If he plays poorly that will raise valid red flags.
IMO, last week Goff was bubble wrapped and McVay did his best to protect Goff and not shake his confidence.
Tomorrow, Goff should be playing at least the first quarter, so we'll get a much better read on him than last week. I'm hoping to see improvement, but don't expect anything terrific.
Most starting QB's are pretty protected in preseason, especially first game...if they even play.
I expect Goff to play at least first qtr and I expect him to play well.... I think he will shock a lot of doubters this year and it starts tomorrow night.
