the on-the-field performance on Saturday will prove whether or not to get excited about the Rams offense this season.
Outside of no injuries, the most important thing to me right now is that Goff doesn't play poorly tomorrow. If he plays poorly that will raise valid red flags.
IMO, last week Goff was bubble wrapped and McVay did his best to protect Goff and not shake his confidence.
Tomorrow, Goff should be playing at least the first quarter, so we'll get a much better read on him than last week. I'm hoping to see improvement, but don't expect anything terrific.
I partially agree with you here as I too am looking for more and I am looking for a good performance. Doesn't have to be perfect.
As for you bubble wrapped comment? Uh, maybe, certainly is a possibility but if that was the case its a wasted effort because Goff has to play to grow in the role of starting QB and if he is going to make mistakes then they have to allow for that.
