And I know I'll take criticism for this, I wasn't thrilled with how he did his speach. In fact I was surprised he had one written down. He fumbled through it early on and almost all his built in humor went without any laughter from the crowd, making for some uncomfortable periods of silence where he clearly expected the crowd to react.
Kurt himself today on twitter mentioned it wasn't his best performance. I for one hoped (actually thought) he'd just speak from his heart and tell his story in the genuine, human fashion he's lived his life.
Don't misunderstand me here, I loved WHAT his message was, I just didn't care for HOW he presented it, and I guarantee you if he could do it again he'd do it without notes.
The mention of Trent Green however was money. You could see how visibly touched TG was. Green, another who walks with the Lord in the same manner as Kurt, is one class human being in his own right. A hall of Fame man, if you will...
R.I.P. Nelson aka TonyHunter87 1971 - 2017 far too soon..
Your last words to me: "Your a great guy RFIP. I was very sad when you left the board, and your son, but was glad to see you back. Take care my friend, may God be by your side." 09/09/2017 12:58AM
No Nelson, you were a far better man than I, and I am sure an awesome husband and father as well. I will miss you my friend. -RFIP
