When you are the best at something you deserve to be paid as the best. Not to mention these pin heads running the Rams are apparantly too dumb to understand that if they pay him now they will be paying a LOT less than in 2 years.

I must admit, I'm SUPER disappointed in Donald. Wish it could have been avoided, but apparently Donald wants a record-breaker and the Rams have neither the desire nor the cap space to give it to him.
What you described is exactly what I was talking about with my wife. Get a great contract, close to the best in the league for a defender. Then you're good. Hold out for even more? That's bad. I wonder how much his agent has to do with this... and how much commission the guy gets. Why fight when the Rams hold all the cards and you've got 2 years left on your rookie contract?
Just don't get how some don't understand the leverage the Rams are holding in this situation after it's been discussed and written articles posted to death about WHY they have all the leverage..... The "pin heads" would be exactly that if they do what you want them to do.
For the 100th time I will say it again. With the current CBA, the Rams aka "pin heads" could get away with paying AD around $40Mil with no bonus and no guarantee over THE NEXT FOUR YEARS. Why would you pay QB money for him 4 YEARS before you'd even have to consider it? Obviously there has to be a middle ground and it appears the Rams are trying to get to that, with reports form Andrew S about the Rams having a huge offer on the table, but Donald apparently still wants QB money.......not gonna happen, nor should it. Would be horrible cap management if they did what some are saying they should do , FOUR YEARS BEFORE THEY HAVE TO.
